Part‑time Receptionist – Dental Practice

About the role

Join a friendly dental team as a part‑time Receptionist, acting as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. You will help create a welcoming environment while supporting the practice’s daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients in person and over the phone with a warm, professional manner.
• Respond to patient email enquiries promptly.
• Book, confirm and manage appointments using the practice’s scheduling system.
• Process patient check‑ins and check‑outs, collect required information and payments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and filing systems.
• Type dictations for treatment plans and referral letters.
• Follow up on patient recalls and provide general administrative support to the team.

Required profile

• Previous reception or front‑desk experience in a healthcare or dental setting.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Strong organisational and time‑keeping abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion.
• Professional telephone manner and customer‑service focus.
• Team‑oriented attitude and problem‑solving capability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with appointment scheduling software.
• Experience using dental practice management software or similar healthcare administration systems.
• Competence in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
