About the role

Bailey Nelson is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Part Time Optical Assistant to join the Auckland CBD store. You will be the front‑line contact for customers, helping them choose frames, supporting eyecare needs, and ensuring each visit is memorable.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that suit their style and vision requirements.
• Provide basic eyecare information and guide customers through the fitting process.
• Maintain a tidy and welcoming store environment.
• Handle transactions and manage product inventory.
• Cover scheduled Monday shifts (11:00 am‑4:00 pm) and provide flexible coverage for Fridays and occasional extra shifts.

Required profile

• Customer‑first mindset with experience in retail, hospitality, or similar service roles.
• Positive, energetic attitude and a willingness to learn optical basics.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong time‑management and problem‑solving skills.
• Team player who enjoys building relationships with colleagues and customers.
