About the role

Super Liquor is looking for a friendly, part‑time Duty Manager/Retail Assistant to join its Elmwood store in Christchurch. This role is ideal for a student or anyone seeking flexible shifts while delivering excellent customer service in a fun, local environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with product queries, purchases and checkout.
• Maintain store presentation, stock levels and merchandising standards.
• Handle cash and electronic transactions accurately.
• Support the store manager in daily operations and opening/closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and liquor licensing regulations.

Required profile

• Current Manager's Certificate (advantageous).
• Enthusiastic, approachable attitude and enjoys casual banter with regulars.
• Ability to work regular part‑time shifts that suit a student schedule.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
