Part-time Business Development Executive – Northern Southland

About the role

Halter is seeking a part‑time Business Development Executive to own the Northern Southland territory. Working 3–4 days a week, you will act as the on‑the‑ground representative, driving growth and ensuring farmer success with Halter’s technology.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑farm sales meetings, understand farmer needs and present Halter’s solutions.
• Prospect and build a pipeline of quality dairy farms, reducing sales cycle times.
• Manage new and inbound leads through screening and qualification.
• Network within the dairy industry to strengthen Halter’s brand.
• Collaborate with the Business Development Manager on revenue forecasting and sales‑process optimisation.

Required profile

• Strong passion for helping farmers succeed.
• Proven hunter‑type sales experience, preferably in agriculture or farm‑technology.
• Ability to work independently in a remote region and travel to farms regularly.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
