About the role
The New Zealand Society of Association Executives (NZSAE) is seeking a practical, organised, and reliable Administration and Operations Officer on a part‑time basis. You will work closely with the Executive Director to keep the day‑to‑day operations of the association running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Provide general office and administrative support.
- Process invoices, track payments and perform basic finance tasks using Xero.
- Handle membership applications, renewals and respond to member enquiries.
- Maintain accurate member and contact records in the association’s database.
- Manage event registrations, attendee lists, name‑badge production and overall event administration.
- Support webinars, meetings, conferences and other NZSAE activities.
- Prepare basic marketing and event materials, including simple social‑media graphics.
Required profile
- Professional, approachable and able to work independently.
- Strong administrative and organisational abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and various online systems.
- Experience with Xero or similar finance administration tools.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
- Previous experience in a membership‑based organisation is highly preferred.
