Orchestration Developer

About the role

Join Spark’s Orchestration Chapter as a developer responsible for designing, building and maintaining service orchestration applications that power New Zealand’s leading telecommunications services. You will work autonomously on enhancements to complex projects while collaborating within an Agile, cross‑functional team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and sustain service orchestration applications.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Write testable, scalable and efficient code.
• Provide functional and non‑functional testing support.
• Troubleshoot applications by analysing logs and identifying root causes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with Java 11+ and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of micro‑services architecture.
• Hands‑on expertise with Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines, build agents, Bash and Python scripts.
• Experience configuring APM tools such as AppDynamics, Datadog, Prometheus and Grafana.
• Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Knowledge of unit‑testing frameworks (JUnit, Cucumber) and Agile development.
• Optional: front‑end skills (React, Next.js, TypeScript), BPMN tools (Camunda), integration technologies (SOAP, REST, MQ), and databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
