Operations Support Specialist

About the role

As an Operations Support Specialist you will help shape the future of airport operations by improving processes, leveraging digital tools and emerging technologies, and delivering efficient, safe, and seamless services across Auckland Airport, lounges and airline customer services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead coordination of operational workflows, ensuring visibility of priorities, risks, dependencies and outcomes.
• Identify and implement opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual effort and boost efficiency through automation and digital enablement.
• Champion emerging technologies such as AI, ChatGPT, workflow automation and digital reporting to enhance decision‑making and visibility.
• Design, maintain and report on operational planning, tracking and performance insight systems.
• Manage operational improvement projects and cross‑functional initiatives, overseeing timelines, stakeholder engagement and communications.
• Produce high‑quality documentation, reports and business records with strong governance, accuracy and version control.
• Support finance and procurement activities including purchase orders, invoice processing, expense tracking and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operational support, business operations or project coordination.
• Strong passion for continuous improvement, digital enablement and innovative problem solving.
• Ability to work collaboratively with leaders and stakeholders across airport functions.
