Operations Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead our infrastructure crews in Dunedin. This hands‑on role combines field leadership with client interaction, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate crews across a variety of infrastructure projects.
• Allocate daily work, resources and equipment to keep jobs running efficiently.
• Communicate directly with clients, understand their needs and keep them informed.
• Monitor job progress, productivity and quality, identifying issues early and implementing practical solutions.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, quality and client requirements.
• Support and develop crew members, fostering a positive and accountable team culture.
• Assist with planning and scheduling to place the right people and equipment at the right time.

Required profile

• Organised, practical and confident leader with strong people‑management abilities.
• Proven experience supervising teams in infrastructure, civil construction or a similar environment.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with crews, clients and stakeholders.
• Solution‑focused mindset with the ability to manage changing priorities.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.

Required skills

• Class 4 Driver licence (highly advantageous).
