Operations & Service Transition Specialist

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Operations & Service Transition Specialist to join a security‑cleared government IT environment in Wellington. The role will manage service transition, business‑as‑usual coordination and governance across a complex end‑user device ecosystem.
Key responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end service transition activities.
- Coordinate day‑to‑day (BAU) operations and incident handling.
- Develop and maintain governance documentation.
- Produce operational reporting for mobile, telephony, thin‑client and collaboration tools.
- Ensure compliance with security‑cleared requirements.
Required profile
- Background in service operations or transition.
- Awareness of ITIL processes.
- Experience with an ITSM toolset.
- Strong documentation and governance discipline.
- Current Confidential Vetting (CV) clearance – non‑negotiable.
- Ability to accommodate up to two months for clearance transfer.
- Veterans and Reserve Force members are strongly encouraged to apply.
