Operations Manager (Part‑time Contractor)

About the role
Archery New Zealand is seeking a capable Operations Manager to lead day‑to‑day activities on a part‑time independent contractor basis. Reporting to the Board via the Chairperson, you will ensure the organisation runs efficiently, transparently and sustainably while supporting volunteers, committees and strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Lead operational planning and ensure timely implementation of Board decisions.
- Maintain governance systems, records and policy frameworks.
- Coordinate membership systems, communications and national reporting.
- Support budgeting, grant applications and funding accountability.
- Build and maintain relationships with Sport NZ, HPSNZ, World Archery, sponsors and other partners.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, privacy and sport legislation.
- Provide accurate, timely reports to the Board.

- Professionalism, initiative and a genuine commitment to sport and people.
- Strategic thinker who can manage details while seeing the big picture.
- Highly organised with strong project‑management abilities.
- Confident communicator able to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Financially literate and comfortable preparing budgets and reports.
- Proactive, adaptable and solutions‑focused.
- Guided by integrity, collaboration and respect.
