Operations Manager – Linehaul

About the role

Aramex New Zealand is seeking an experienced Operations Manager – Linehaul to oversee the day‑to‑day management of its national linehaul network. Working closely with the National Linehaul Manager, you will balance service delivery, compliance, safety and financial performance while supporting domestic freight initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the linehaul network to meet service, cost and compliance targets.
• Support the National Linehaul Manager in managing contractors, performance monitoring, incident reporting and compliance oversight.
• Plan linehaul capacity, load planning and network scheduling, including ferry movements.
• Approve and monitor contractor drivers’ licences, endorsements, logbooks and performance.
• Manage domestic freight activities such as customer coordination, job negotiation, pricing and operational delivery.
• Provide operational direction to RF‑operated hubs and mini‑hubs.
• Maintain company assets (trailers, vehicles, cages) and ensure compliance, maintenance and damage reporting.
• Ensure scanning, EROAD and system compliance across the network.
• Champion health and safety initiatives and promote a safety‑first culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in transport and logistics.
• Forklift experience to a reasonable operational level.
• Class 5 licence (preferred).
