Operations Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Operations Manager to take ownership of day‑to‑day operations, lead high‑performing crews and drive continuous improvement in our growing New Zealand surfacing business. You will be the central point for coordinating production, logistics and maintenance activities to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality surfacing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all operational processes, from material handling to final product delivery.
• Lead, coach and schedule crew members to meet production targets safely and efficiently.
• Monitor key performance indicators, identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors and internal departments to maintain smooth workflow.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing operations within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work on‑site in Dannevirke and travel to project sites as needed.
