Online Assistant – Retail Order Fulfilment

About the role

The Online Assistant supports Woolworths Supermarkets New Zealand’s e‑commerce operation by picking and packing customer orders accurately and safely. Working on the shop floor, you will help ensure that online shoppers receive the right products on time while maintaining a high standard of health and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Pick and pack online orders using company procedures and equipment.
• Verify product quantities and conditions to ensure order accuracy.
• Communicate with inventory and customer service teams about out‑of‑stock items, substitutions, and other enquiries.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following health‑and‑safety guidelines.
• Assist with stock replenishment and organise order stations for efficient workflow.

Required profile

• Strong focus on customer service and quality.
• Ability to work on your feet for the duration of the shift.
• Good communication skills and teamwork orientation.
• Positive attitude with a friendly smile.

Required skills

• Basic numeracy for order verification.
• Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment (e.g., hand scanners, pallet jacks).
