Occupational Health Technician – Part‑time (0.8 FTE) in Christchurch

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Health Technician to join our Christchurch team on a part‑time (0.8 FTE) basis. You will deliver first‑aid training and conduct health‑screening services for clients across the Canterbury region, working both from our office and on‑site at client locations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑aid training courses to groups of participants.
• Perform occupational health screenings, including pre‑employment checks, annual health checks, and drug‑and‑alcohol testing.
• Ensure all activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.
• Enter screening and training data accurately using company technology.
• Travel to client sites across the region, occasionally staying overnight or working evenings and Saturdays.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in New Zealand (no visa sponsorship).
• Current New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Health‑related tertiary qualification (e.g., Health Science, Paramedicine, Sports Science).
• Passion for preventative health care and engaging education.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early starts, late finishes and occasional overnight stays.
