Night Auditor

About the role

Join the front office team at Novotel Wellington as a Night Auditor, providing seamless overnight service for guests and ensuring accurate financial reporting. You will work the night shift, handling check‑ins, check‑outs and audit duties while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Work overnight shifts (approximately 10:30 pm – 7:00 am) to welcome late arrivals and early departures.
• Perform nightly balancing, system backups and generate audit reports using Opera PMS.
• Act as Night Manager when required, overseeing room service, porter services and security checks.
• Manage room availability, handle over‑booking or relocation needs, and ensure accurate reservations, billing and room allocations.
• Maintain clean and presentable public areas throughout the night.
• Support the Front Office team by contributing to monthly performance reports.

Required profile

• Initiative and calmness under pressure.
• Availability for overnight shifts on a rotating roster.
• LCQ qualification and a current GM Certificate (or ability to obtain one with required experience).
• Previous supervisory experience in Front Office operations.
• Current First Aid Certificate is an advantage.
• Full, clean New Zealand driver licence and up‑to‑date Manager’s Certificate (Novotel specific).
• Must be a New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid work visa (no sponsorship).
