About the role
The leading online gambling operator is looking for a dynamic New Zealand Country Manager to own the brand’s growth and marketing strategy across the region. You will act as the brand champion, adapting global positioning to the local market while driving acquisition and brand‑building initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans for brand building and customer acquisition across New Zealand.
- Manage above‑the‑line media channels including TV, radio, sponsorships, print, out‑of‑home and PR.
- Lead digital and performance‑based marketing efforts in partnership with internal teams and external agencies.
- Establish and negotiate relationships with local media agencies, creative and production partners.
- Own the annual marketing budget, set targets and monitor ROI, CPA and campaign performance.
- Adapt global brand assets to create bespoke local campaigns and assets.
- Ensure all communications comply with New Zealand gambling regulations.
Required profile
- 5+ years in a senior marketing leadership role, either agency or client side, within a high‑transaction volume industry.
- Minimum 3 years experience in B2C online gaming in New Zealand.
- Proven track record launching new brands and delivering rapid growth in the NZ market.
- Deep knowledge of the New Zealand advertising and media landscape and strong relationships with media owners.
- Hands‑on experience managing large above‑the‑line budgets from briefing through reporting.
- People‑management experience, including recruitment, training and development.
