National Quality Manager

About the role

The National Quality Manager will lead the implementation and maintenance of certified management systems across our civil and infrastructure projects in New Zealand. This senior position ensures compliance, drives continuous improvement, and supports the strategic objectives of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Support compliance with all elements of the company’s business systems and strategic objectives.
• Ensure consistent delivery of quality work across multiple project sites.
• Build organisational capability for effective implementation and maintenance of established management systems.
• Maintain external system accreditation and certification.
• Conduct internal compliance audits and reporting.
• Gatekeep references, records, processes and procedures related to management systems.
• Lead and facilitate management system reviews.
• Support non‑conformance investigations and identify systemic contributing factors.
• Develop internal capability around Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
• Ensure company goals and strategy are achieved on contracts, sites and projects through effective QMS performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in a construction or engineering environment, preferably in New Zealand.
• Understanding of New Zealand legislation and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards (training can be provided).
• Proven experience managing externally certified management systems.
• Service‑focused approach to continuous improvement, compliance and best practice.
