National Key Account Manager

About the role
Henkel Adhesives is seeking a driven National Key Account Manager to lead growth across New Zealand’s construction and industrial markets. You will act as the primary liaison between Henkel’s regional sales leadership and local distributor partners, shaping strategy and delivering results.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute the New Zealand sales strategy to drive revenue and profitability.
- Manage the national distributor relationship, ensuring sales and margin targets are met.
- Plan and launch promotional and sales initiatives to increase market share and customer engagement.
- Build strong relationships with distributor partners, providing support and identifying growth opportunities.
- Collaborate on strategic projects such as product range and SKU alignment.
- Prepare accurate sales reports, forecasts, and market insights for business planning.
- Work with supply‑chain and cross‑functional teams to guarantee product availability and high service levels.
- Proactively manage supply‑related matters, including forecasting, backorders, and inventory planning.
Required profile
- Strong experience in sales, marketing and budgeting within a commercial or account‑management environment.
- Proven background in retail or industrial account management, preferably with distributor networks.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a deep understanding of customer and distributor needs.
- Tenacious, proactive and approachable with the ability to build lasting relationships.
- Leadership capability and solid project‑management experience.
- Trade qualification or mechanical/technical training is desirable but not mandatory.
