Mill Hand – Waipapa Sawmill

About the role

Join Waipapa Pine’s Waipapa Sawmill as a Mill Hand, supporting daily timber processing operations. You will pull, stack and handle timber, working four days a week with weekends off. Typical shifts run from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Pull, stack and move timber throughout the mill.
• Assist with day‑to‑day timber processing activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Required profile

• Physically capable of heavy lifting and repetitive timber handling.
• Injury‑free and able to work safely in a demanding environment.
• Previous sawmill or hands‑on labour‑intensive experience preferred.
• Commitment to workplace safety and a strong team ethic.
• Full driver’s licence, reliable transport and legal right to work in New Zealand.
• Stable work history with a long‑term employment outlook.
