Mid-Market Sales Development Representative (Remote, NZ)

About the role

Employment Hero is looking for a Mid-Market Sales Development Representative to join its remote sales team in New Zealand. You will help drive growth by identifying, qualifying and nurturing sales opportunities within the mid‑market segment (151+ employees).

Key responsibilities

• Source and qualify new sales opportunities in the mid‑market segment through inbound lead follow‑up, outbound cold calls and emails.
• Conduct discovery calls to understand the unique needs of mid‑market clients and tailor Employment Hero’s solution.
• Research mid‑market accounts, identify key decision‑makers and generate interest in the platform.
• Maintain and expand a database of mid‑market prospects.
• Collaborate with Account Executives to hand over qualified opportunities and support the closing process.
• Participate in online product demonstrations when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sourcing and qualifying sales opportunities within a mid‑market context.
• Strong ability to conduct discovery calls and articulate solutions based on client needs.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Collaborative mindset to work closely with Account Executives and the wider sales team.
