Mid-level DevOps Engineer (SRE)

About the role

Xe is looking for a mid‑level DevOps Engineer who will own real problems end‑to‑end, from infrastructure design and pipeline architecture to incident response and on‑call duties. The role combines cloud engineering, CI/CD reliability, and AI‑accelerated tooling to keep our money‑moving services fast and resilient.

Key responsibilities

• Own CI/CD pipeline reliability and developer experience across squads, including release gating, delivery automation, and rollback safety.
• Build and operate multi‑region AWS infrastructure, covering identity (Cognito), networking, and disaster‑recovery.
• Partner with engineering and architecture to adopt AI‑accelerated SDLC tooling across the organization.
• Manage production observability, define SLOs, set up alerting, and lead incident response with on‑call rotation.
• Use agentic coding tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) daily throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience building and operating production infrastructure end‑to‑end.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS in production, including multi‑region setups, IAM, networking, and managed services.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tooling.
• Experience owning CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or equivalent) with release gating and automation.
• Container orchestration experience in production environments.
• Background in operating observability/monitoring stacks, defining SLOs, and managing alerts.
• Proven incident‑response experience, including on‑call rotation.
• Daily use of AI‑assisted coding tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
