Medical Receptionist – Front‑Desk Role

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and organised Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors at The Doctors Tikipunga. In this role you will help create a welcoming environment while supporting the smooth operation of a busy medical centre.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally.
• Manage appointment bookings and clinicians’ schedules.
• Answer telephone enquiries, direct calls and handle correspondence.
• Register new patients, maintain accurate records and process enrolments.
• Process patient payments, balance daily transactions and handle billing.
• Support the clinical team to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold privacy standards at all times.

• Strong customer‑service orientation with a genuine passion for helping people.
• Highly organised, able to manage time and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Calm, adaptable and professional under pressure.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and privacy.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using patient management systems, preferably Med Tec Evolution or similar.
