Medical Receptionist – Family Practice

About the role

We are seeking a warm, welcoming receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients at our family practice. The role offers a supportive, dynamic environment with opportunities to develop both clinical knowledge and administrative expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and check‑in patients on arrival.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to enquiries.
• Book appointments in person and over the phone.
• Invoice patients, collect fees and handle cash transactions.
• Perform general administrative tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Motivated, flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude.
• Able to work both collaboratively and autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Kind, caring and courteous to patients and staff.
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.

Required skills

• Experience with administration and customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Familiarity with Medtech Evolution (advantageous).
• Cash handling capability.
