About the role

Rangiora High School, a progressive co‑educational secondary school with 1,700 students, is seeking an enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher for a long‑term relieving position starting as soon as possible and running until September 2026. The role focuses on delivering engaging, culturally responsive mathematics instruction and fostering student voice and choice.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess mathematics lessons across the secondary curriculum.
• Implement PB4L, restorative practices and culturally responsive pedagogy.
• Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies to improve engagement and achievement.
• Participate in co‑curricular and extra‑curricular activities, including clubs or competitions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and contribute to school improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher registration and a relevant teaching qualification.
