About the role

Rangitoto College is seeking an enthusiastic Mathematics and Statistics teacher to start in Term 1, 2027. The successful candidate will deliver Statistics at New Zealand Scholarship level and IB Analysis and Approaches at Higher Level, while contributing to the college’s vibrant co‑curricular life.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Statistics curriculum for senior secondary students.
• Teach New Zealand Curriculum content across Mathematics and Statistics.
• Support students preparing for NZ Scholarship examinations and IB assessments.
• Participate actively in co‑curricular activities and school events.
• Collaborate with the Mathematics and Statistics department to maintain a Knowledge‑Rich Curriculum.

Required profile

• Qualified to teach secondary Mathematics and Statistics in New Zealand.
• Ability to teach NZ Scholarship Level Statistics and IB HL Analysis and Approaches.
• Commitment to the college’s ethos of high performance and student excellence.
• Willingness to engage in the PCT programme for beginning teachers.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Statistics concepts and pedagogy.
• Familiarity with the New Zealand Curriculum and IB Mathematics frameworks.
• Effective classroom management and assessment skills.
