Materials Coordinator (Commercial Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Materials Coordinator to join the Composite Floor Decks Limited (CFDL) team of Steel & Tube in Auckland. The role focuses on coordinating the timely supply of materials for CFDL and customer projects, while offering exposure to commercial management functions.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange and monitor material deliveries to meet project schedules and sequential priorities.
• Maintain product traceability, ensuring test certificates are up‑to‑date and compliant.
• Control inventory through cycle counts, isolation of damaged stock and process optimisation.
• Coordinate logistics including in‑plant transfers, site deliveries, tools and personal protective equipment.
• Negotiate with freight providers and verify supplier and subcontractor documentation.
• Support procurement, contract administration and financial reporting under the guidance of the Commercial Manager.

Required profile

• Previous experience in procurement, supply‑chain or inventory management.
• Strong customer service, communication and administrative abilities.
• Good mathematical and analytical skills.
• Self‑motivated with excellent organisational and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Current full New Zealand driver’s licence (essential).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
