Marketing Specialist (Brand & Community)

About the role

This newly created position will own the Cotton On brand presence in New Zealand, turning products into stories that inspire and engage customers across social, creator programmes, community initiatives and events. Reporting to the Country Manager, you will work closely with the global team in Australia to elevate the brand and drive its next phase of growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the marketing calendar, including social campaigns, events and community activations.
• Brief, coordinate and review creator content, ensuring brand‑safe and on‑brand execution.
• Own end‑to‑end social channel management and content pipelines, from planning through reporting.
• Plan, execute and recap events, activations and community moments, moving concepts to delivery.
• Collaborate with the Australia teams to align local initiatives with global brand strategy.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of experience in brand, social or creator marketing, preferably with consumer‑focused, community‑driven brands.
• Comfortable owning a marketing calendar, running events and managing creator relationships.
• Player‑coach mindset: able to set strategy while also creating assets, writing recaps and stepping in wherever needed.

Required skills

• Experience managing social media channels and content pipelines end‑to‑end.
• Proven ability to plan and execute events, activations or community moments.
• Strong capability to work with creators and communities in a thoughtful, organised and brand‑safe manner.
