Marketing Performance Analyst

About the role

Tourism New Zealand is seeking a Marketing Performance Analyst to cover parental leave on a fixed‑term basis starting in September. Based in Auckland, you will help maximise the impact of our digital marketing activities by turning data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse campaign and audience performance across the full marketing funnel, from media spend to visitor arrivals.
• Use AI‑enabled tools and workflow automation to streamline data collection, validation and quality checks across media, web analytics, social and PR sources.
• Strengthen reporting governance, including campaign naming, taxonomy, tracking, dashboard inputs and MMM data feeds.
• Translate complex data into clear recommendations for global teams to improve campaign effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Media and Analytics teams, global markets, campaign specialists, digital teams and external partners to enhance data quality and champion best practices.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in digital analytics.
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to build effective relationships across internal and external teams.
• Confidence using AI‑enabled tools or automation while maintaining rigorous validation.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and sound judgement when working with data.

• DV360, Google Ads and Meta Ads platforms
• Digital media pixel management, UTM/campaign ID tagging and tag implementation
• Power BI, Google Data Studio, Tableau or Datorama for dashboard creation and reporting automation
