Marketing Manager – Payments & Fintech

About the role

The Marketing Manager will own the marketing strategy and execution for key brands within an international payments and fintech business. Based in New Zealand, you will shape brand positioning, drive growth, and ensure initiatives align with commercial objectives while delivering measurable results.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage marketing strategies for assigned brands, defining priorities, KPIs, roadmaps and growth initiatives.
• Act as the main point of contact for brands and stakeholders, leading strategic discussions and providing recommendations.
• Own project delivery by coordinating internal teams and external partners, ensuring timelines, quality standards and objectives are met.
• Manage marketing budgets, track performance and report on results and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor KPIs to ensure activities align with broader business goals.
• Apply payment‑industry knowledge, including compliance, regulatory messaging, merchant acquiring, chargebacks and risk management.
• Review marketing claims and materials for industry compliance.
• Build trusted stakeholder relationships and proactively solve challenges.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in marketing management, leadership, client project services or account management.
• Strong background in payments or fintech environments.
• Proven ability to manage strategic initiatives from concept to execution independently.
