Marketing Executive – Wildlife Campaigns

About the role

Join Auckland Zoo’s marketing team to create bold, creative campaigns that connect people with wildlife and inspire conservation. You will work within a collaborative group of marketers to grow audiences, increase engagement and support the zoo’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and optimise integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, email and other channels.
• Support the Zoo in producing branded assets and maintaining visual identity.
• Coordinate campaigns from planning through execution, evaluation and reporting.
• Handle media planning and booking, both directly and with agencies.
• Manage projects to ensure they are on time, on brand and on budget.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on integrated initiatives.
• Monitor performance, analyse insights and continuously improve results.
• Contribute to audience growth, visitor engagement and community‑focused projects.

Required profile

• Creative, motivated marketer early in their career.
• Passionate about wildlife, conservation, education and meaningful experiences.
• Strong marketing fundamentals and excellent communication skills.
• Curious, eager to learn and grow within a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience or strong understanding of te reo Māori, mana whenua and mātāwaka is welcomed.
