Manufacturing Operator – Day Shift

About the role

Argenta is seeking a reliable Manufacturing Operator to join its South Auckland site on a permanent, day‑shift basis. You will support daily manufacturing operations in the animal health sector, ensuring quality and compliance while contributing to a safe and efficient production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, set‑up, run, clean and perform basic calibration checks on manufacturing equipment.
• Follow manufacturing instructions accurately and maintain required quality and compliance standards.
• Conduct routine in‑process quality checks, record results and promptly report any deviations.
• Ensure equipment is clean, calibrated and fit for use; report faults or non‑compliance to the team leader.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with general production and operational activities to meet production targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience in a pharmaceutical, animal health, food or related GMP environment.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices and a commitment to a safe workplace.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective teamwork.
• Physical ability to safely handle items up to 25 kg.
• Willingness to complete a pre‑employment medical and hold the right to work in New Zealand.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
