Manufacturing Engineer II – Space Systems

About the role
Rocket Lab is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to develop and optimise manufacturing processes for its launch vehicles and spacecraft. The role works closely with engineers, technicians and subject‑matter experts to ensure best‑in‑class production practices and meet key performance targets.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, optimise and document manufacturing processes and workflows.
- Design and implement production tooling and fixtures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production stoppages and non‑conformances.
- Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) through process development, prototyping and integration.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve production goals.
- Create and maintain technical documentation to meet departmental KPIs.
