Manufacturing Engineer II – Composites

About the role
Rocket Lab is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II – Composites to support production activities for its launch vehicles. In a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment, you will ensure manufacturing standards are met to meet strict launch timelines.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate production of current and future Rocket Lab launch vehicles.
- Develop and optimise production and test operations using Lean Six Sigma and other best practices.
- Create FMEAs and action plans, mitigating risk throughout the manufacturing process.
- Review and process non‑conformance documents.
- Design, develop and optimise tools, equipment and processes for production.
- Support implementation of process changes through prototyping, testing and validation.
- Contribute to continuous‑improvement projects, risk assessments, daily issue management and 5S initiatives.
Required profile
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Manufacturing Engineer.
- Work with engineers, technicians and subject‑matter experts across multiple departments.
- Enable the build and testing of launch vehicles in a manufacturing environment.
