About the role
Deloitte’s Strategy, Risk and Transactions team in Auckland is seeking an experienced Manager or Associate Director to lead valuation engagements. You will support complex client transactions, provide strategic recommendations, and deliver high‑quality valuation insights.
Key responsibilities
- Value businesses, equity interests, financial instruments and intangible assets across a range of transactions.
- Build and deliver valuation models and reports that explain the story behind the numbers.
- Analyse value drivers, industry trends, market benchmarks and cost of capital to identify growth and capital‑optimisation opportunities.
- Identify risks and opportunities, offering clear, practical strategies to clients.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, developing their technical and interpersonal skills.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 + years’ experience in a professional services firm, investment bank or similar environment.
- Expertise in Valuations or Corporate Finance.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
- Strong commercial problem‑solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel for complex data analysis and financial modelling.
