Maintenance Fitter – Production Line Support

About the role
We are seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Fitter to join our production team on a day shift (7:30 AM‑4:00 PM). You will play a key role in keeping food processing, utilities and packaging equipment running safely, efficiently and reliably.
Key responsibilities
- Execute maintenance work orders accurately and on time, including reporting and close‑out.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and improve food‑processing and packaging equipment.
- Record all maintenance activities in the site CMMS.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis on recurring failures and implement corrective actions.
- Support TPM, 5S and other continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Assist with installation, commissioning and modification of machinery.
Required profile
- Trade qualification with strong maintenance experience in a food‑manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Proactive safety mindset with zero tolerance for unsafe practices.
- Ability to lead by example, coach others and take ownership of tasks.
- Good physical fitness for manual handling and adherence to GMP and H&S standards.
Required skills
- SAP PM or similar maintenance management system.
- Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Welding and fabrication.
- Knowledge of automated production and packaging equipment.
