Maintenance Electrician

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our Marley site in Manurewa on a full‑time basis. The role operates on rotating day (7 am‑3 pm) and afternoon (3 pm‑11 pm) shifts, ensuring our manufacturing plant runs safely and efficiently each day.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative and predictive electrical maintenance on all plant equipment, including extruders, moulders and crushing machines.
• Respond quickly to electrical breakdowns, conduct fault finding, troubleshoot and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with the Electrical Team Leader and Maintenance Planner to provide feedback and coordinate work.
• Work alongside the mechanical team to resolve issues promptly.
• Analyse equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Identify and implement improvements that enhance equipment reliability, efficiency and safety.
• Ensure all plant and site equipment is ready for production start‑up and proactively address health‑and‑safety risks.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with heavy industrial machinery in a manufacturing or processing environment.
• Strong background in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
