Maintenance Coordinator – Full‑time

About the role

Heritage Lifecare is seeking a full‑time Maintenance Coordinator to join its care home on Harewood Road, Papanui. Working on AM shifts, you will help keep the facility safe, clean and welcoming for residents, combining hands‑on maintenance work with organisational responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance across the building and grounds.
• Carry out minor repairs, painting, plumbing and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Maintain the exterior, landscaping and overall appearance of the care home.
• Collaborate with the Care Home Manager to ensure resident safety and compliance with quality standards.
• Prioritise work orders, manage workloads and coordinate with external service providers.

Required profile

• Positive, can‑do attitude with a strong focus on cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and time‑management skills.
• Genuine empathy for residents and a customer‑service mindset.
• Full clean driver’s licence.
