About the role
The Mail Officer provides front‑line customer service at NZ Post’s New Lynn branch, handling enquiries, requests and complaints at the counter and box lobby. The position operates on an on‑call basis, working as and when required.
Key responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist with mail transactions, parcel services and post‑office products.
- Respond to enquiries, requests and complaints in person, by phone or email.
- Perform accurate data entry and administrative tasks related to customer interactions.
- Maintain a tidy and welcoming box lobby and counter area.
- Ensure compliance with postal regulations and NZ Post policies.
- Provide on‑call support Monday to Saturday between 07:00 and 17:30.
Required profile
- Available to work on‑call shifts as required.
- Reliable transport to arrive at work on time.
- Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to think quickly.
- Confidence interacting with people from diverse backgrounds face‑to‑face, by phone and email.
