M365 Engineer

About the role

Gallagher is seeking an M365 Engineer to join its Network & Platforms team. You will be responsible for supporting and continuously improving the Microsoft 365 environment across the organisation, working with a range of core Microsoft services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support and troubleshoot complex user or endpoint issues.
• Roll out new policies, automate routine tasks and enhance platform capabilities.
• Collaborate on projects that introduce and optimise Microsoft 365 services.
• Ensure the environment remains secure, reliable and aligned with best practices.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience with Microsoft 365 / Office 365.
• Background as a Systems Engineer, Cloud Engineer or M365 support specialist.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and clear communication skills.
• Current full working rights in New Zealand.

Required skills

• Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Intune / Endpoint Manager for device and application management.
• Azure AD / Entra ID, including MFA, groups and access management.
• PowerShell or other automation tools (nice to have).
• Experience with Conditional Access, M365 security tooling, hybrid environments or Active Directory (nice to have).
