LPG Sales Manager – SME & Growth

About the role

Clarus is seeking an energetic Sales Manager to lead its Christchurch‑based LPG SME sales team. You will be responsible for growing the Rockgas business across New Zealand by expanding market share, optimising revenue, and strengthening relationships with commercial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach a high‑performing SME sales team.
• Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans to increase LPG sales.
• Secure market share and deliver the customer value proposition.
• Build and enhance the Rockgas brand reputation with commercial clients.
• Manage contracts, negotiations and budget performance.
• Travel across the country as required, with a work vehicle provided.

Required profile

• Proven track record of sustainable, profitable business growth.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in business, finance or commerce (desirable).
• Experience leading high‑performing teams.
• Senior sales or business development management experience.
• Strategic and operational thinking with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Strong relationship‑building, influencing and sales‑closing abilities.
• Commercial and financial acumen, including budget management and data‑driven decision making.
• Negotiation and contract management expertise.
• Experience in SME, B2B or energy retail environments is a plus.
