Logistics Technician

About the role

Microsoft is seeking a Logistics Technician to support data‑center operations. The role involves performing cycle audits, handling incoming and outgoing deliveries, coordinating security escorts for third‑party vendors, and documenting all inbound and outbound movements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute cycle audits and manage high‑volume delivery activities.
• Coordinate security escorts for third‑party vendors and ensure compliance with site policies.
• Initiate warranty claims, process failed hardware, and manage Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) shipments according to Service Level Agreements.
• Maintain accurate records in inventory management systems, including configuration management databases and asset repositories.
• Track physical inventory, stage equipment, and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Perform secure destruction of data‑bearing devices following established procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on the impact of completed tasks.
• Willingness to work onsite at a Microsoft data‑center.

Required skills

• Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., CMDB, asset repositories).
• Knowledge of warranty claim processes and RMA handling.
• Familiarity with secure data‑device destruction procedures.
