About the role
Join a high‑performing, research‑intensive team at the School of Science. You will lead original research in hydrology while contributing to teaching, postgraduate supervision and departmental administration.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct independent, high‑quality research in hydrology.
- Teach hydrology and environmental science to undergraduate and master’s students.
- Supervise Honours, Masters and PhD candidates.
- Contribute to the graduate programme and attract research funding.
- Participate in departmental administration and service activities.
Required profile
- PhD in hydrology or a closely related discipline.
- Strong record of peer‑reviewed research publications.
- Demonstrated tertiary‑level teaching experience and commitment to innovative learning.
- Ability to supervise graduate students and secure external research funding.
- Effective communication skills and respect for diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Awareness of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches to teaching.
