Learning & Development Business Partner

About the role

BDO New Zealand is seeking a Learning & Development Business Partner to join its Auckland CBD office. In this collaborative position you will work closely with leaders, the National Learning & Organisational Development Lead and the wider People & Capability community to design and deliver learning programmes that build technical and professional capability across the network.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to identify capability gaps and create learning solutions aligned with business priorities.
• Design, maintain and continuously improve technical and professional learning pathways and curriculum frameworks.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to develop practical, engaging learning content.
• Support trainers and leaders in delivering high‑quality learning experiences and on‑the‑job development.
• Monitor programme engagement, learner feedback and outcomes to ensure measurable value.
• Manage relationships with external learning providers and oversee programme quality.
• Coordinate workshops, development programmes, conferences and learning events on the national calendar.
• Maintain and optimise learning resources through BOLD, the company’s Learning Management System.
• Contribute to learning communications, continuous‑improvement initiatives and organisational development projects.

Required profile

• Experience in Learning & Development, Organisational Development, Talent Development or a related people capability role.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Excellent facilitation, project coordination and organisational abilities.
• Analytical and critical thinking with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Exceptional written communication skills for creating engaging learning materials.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications; coaching or professional services experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BOLD Learning Management System.
