Lead Physiotherapist & Team Manager (MSK Services)

About the role

Habit Health is seeking a Lead Physiotherapist who will split their week between hands‑on musculoskeletal physiotherapy and leading a regional team of physiotherapists and hand therapists. This hybrid role allows you to maintain clinical practice while shaping the direction and quality of the Wellington MSK service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality musculoskeletal physiotherapy for approximately two days per week.
• Lead, coach, and support physiotherapists and hand therapists across the Wellington region.
• Foster a positive, engaged, high‑performing team culture.
• Drive service performance within ACC contracts and monitor key performance indicators.
• Support workforce planning, day‑to‑day operations, and strategic goals with the Regional Manager.
• Mentor clinicians, promote continuous professional development, and champion evidence‑based practice.

Required profile

• Registered physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and current APC.
• Extensive experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and familiarity with the ACC rehabilitation environment.
• Previous leadership, mentoring, or people‑management experience.
• Strong communication, coaching, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Collaborative leadership style with a passion for clinician development.
