Lead Estimator (M/F)

About the role

As Lead Estimator you will sit at the heart of major civil infrastructure bids, driving the development of competitive, high‑quality estimates that position the organisation for success. You will combine engineering knowledge, commercial insight and strategic thinking to influence bid outcomes and ensure profitable project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of senior estimators to produce accurate, competitive estimates for large‑scale infrastructure tenders.
• Manage the end‑to‑end estimating process, including quantity take‑offs, subcontractor pricing and risk assessments.
• Contribute to bid strategy, ensure timely high‑quality submissions and facilitate estimate reviews.
• Support project teams with cost management, forecasting and cost‑to‑complete processes.
• Build strong relationships with clients, partners and suppliers to enhance bid success.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in estimating or commercial management on significant infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record of leading estimating teams and delivering winning bids.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and programming.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
