Kitchen Assistant

About the role

Join the team at Clutha Views Lifecare & Village as a part‑time Kitchen Assistant. This permanent role offers 16 hours per week across AM, PM and weekend shifts, supporting the delivery of nutritious meals to residents in a 72‑bed care home and village.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving hearty, balanced meals for residents.
• Ensure individual dietary requirements and preferences are met.
• Support kitchen staff with food preparation, plating and cleaning tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized kitchen environment.
• Help uphold quality standards and food safety regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in catering or food service, preferably in a commercial kitchen (training provided if needed).
• Passion for good food and its impact on wellbeing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and time‑management abilities.
• Genuine desire to help people with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Customer‑service focus and reliability.
