Kitchen Assistant – Casual (AM/PM/Weekend)

About the role

Join Rosewood Lifecare’s kitchen team on a casual basis, working AM, PM and weekend shifts to support the delivery of nutritious meals for our residents. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast‑paced culinary environment and wants to make a positive impact on the wellbeing of older adults.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and plating hearty, balanced meals for up to 64 residents.
• Ensure individual dietary requirements and preferences are met.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen workspace.
• Support the kitchen team with stock checks, basic food preparation, and equipment cleaning.
• Collaborate with care staff to coordinate meal timings and special requests.

Required profile

• Proven experience in catering or food service, preferably in a commercial kitchen.
• Positive, can‑do attitude with a genuine love for helping people.
• Reliable, punctual, and eager to lend a hand when needed.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
