Key Account Manager – National Account Program

About the role

As a Key Account Manager for the National Account Program, you will drive long‑term business success by building and maintaining strategic relationships with large key accounts that trade across air, sea and road. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day account activities and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new business prospects within the key‑account scope and conduct discovery calls to understand customer needs.
• Engage in online and face‑to‑face meetings to build relationships and convert prospects into sales opportunities.
• Create and manage a strong pipeline of key‑account opportunities to meet sales targets and KPIs.
• Act as a consultant and subject‑matter expert, developing tailored logistics solutions and presenting Kuehne+Nagel services and the myKN platform.
• Coordinate with the National Sea Logistics Revenue Manager and Business Unit Care Teams to ensure alignment.
• Provide prompt, effective responses to customer enquiries and issues, both internal and external.
• Monitor onboarding of booked, shipped and invoiced volumes and facilitate transition of new business with implementation and customer‑care teams.

Required profile

• Highly motivated sales professional with a strong track record in key‑account management.
• Proven ability to identify, pursue and close new business opportunities for large accounts.
• Experience working with customers across multiple transport modes (air, sea, road).
• Consultative approach with the capability to develop and implement tailored logistics solutions.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills.
