Key Account Manager

About the role

As a Key Account Manager you will drive commercial success for L’Oréal’s iconic cosmetic beauty brands within Woolworths New Zealand. You will build strong partnerships, develop strategic account plans and ensure maximum brand presence and performance in the market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet and exceed sales targets, including new product launches, pricing, promotions and category strategies.
• Act as a trusted partner to clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, supply chain and finance to ensure seamless project execution.
• Manage financial performance of accounts, including forecasting, trade‑spend optimisation and promotional budgets.
• Develop and coach a Key Account Executive, providing feedback and on‑the‑job learning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in key account management, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and analyse performance.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of managing multiple stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
