Key Account Manager

About the role

Join DuluxGroup as a Key Account Manager and drive new business across the construction sector in New Zealand. This field‑based position focuses on building strategic partnerships from the ground up with construction firms, developers and commercial painters.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure long‑term partnerships with construction companies and developers.
• Generate new opportunities through cold calling, site visits and door‑knocking.
• Connect painters, builders and developers to create mutually beneficial projects.
• Develop under‑performing accounts into key revenue drivers.
• Influence product specification decisions through strong stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales experience, preferably in construction, trades or related industries.
• Hunter mindset with confidence in cold outreach and pursuit of new opportunities.
• Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, from site workers to senior decision‑makers.
• High energy, persistence and willingness to work extensively in the field.
